Only in India

 Only in India....

  • Can a road sign say "hug your kids at home, but belt them in the car"
  • Can one of the oldest buildings in the desert kingdom of Jaisalmer be cut out of sandstone and put together like lego blocks, because there is no water available to make morter
  • Do you finally find a bin that says 'use me' and pop your rubbish in it, only to see 5 minutes later a shopkeeper empying its contents directly across the street into the gutter and then taking the empty bin back to his shop to refill it!
  • A shop keeper try to down sell, instead of upsell
  • You order a drink and they run next door or down the road to get it. Or you go to pay for something and they yell ' back in 1 minute' and ride off on a bike to another shop to borrow an EFTPOS machine.
  • Ahotel claim to have swimming pool facilities, internet and a great patio (and even show images of these on their brochure) and when you enquire they say 'oh no, we dont have those'.
  • A cow wander into a resturaunt.... and another cow steal a whole stack of chapatis from the counter top of a street food vendor.
  • The women make roads by hand, breaking the rocks with hammers, fill in the pot holes with stones and mix tar by hand.
  • You leave your shoes outside your bedroom door in a hotel because they stink too much and find them gone in the morning.... the hotel boy appears to be wearing them and when you ask for them back he says ' oh I thought you were throwing them away'!
