This post is about all the hilarious and sometimes almost annoying things that happen here, the way the country runs and why every day is a new adventure. It will be updated as time goes on, but for now this is 1 months worth of Only in India:



Only in India:

• Can 13 kites cause electrical disturbances by tangling themselves in power lines, causing a blackout to most of the capital city
• Can it take 3 hours to post a parcel
• Can traffic be so ridiculous: rickshaws, cars and motorbikes share the busy roads with a man pulling a cart full of apples, a buffalo and a cow. 
• Is it total pot luck as to weather you will be able to with drawl cash from the ATM or have hot water on any given day
• Can you see the train tracks when you take a poop on the train toilet
• Can 1 week feel like 1 month
• Will the police pull you over and then spend 10minutes making you listen to their favorite Hindi music on their mobile phone until you agree that it is also your favourite!
• Will they leave the door of the bus open on a 5 hour ride, so that touts ca jump on and off when you go through a town to sell you chai, coconut and burger sandwiches
• Is it No Problem to use lollies, chocolate and gum as change when you run out of small notes
• It is fine for 3 rafts to be tied onto the top of a bus and 3 people to be sitting on top of them whilst driving along
• Can you book a seat for 4 people and then rock up with 4 adults ad 6 kids and expect to still have a seat for all of them
• Can you close you shop or restaurant with a little paper sign saying "closed for 10-15 day'.
• Do dogs sit on the Polo field during the game
• Does the local bus double as the grocery store
• Can you ask 2 ppl in the same village how far it is to the next village and get 20 different answers varying from 15 minutes to 2 hours
• Does luggage get passed out the window when you hop off the bus
• Does a full gas bottle get thrown from the top of the bus to the ground. 
• Do I eat Pepsi, Maggi noodles and tea with 2 tbs of sugar in the one day
• Is the local drink salt tea with butter in it. 
• Can a grandmother drink Matt and our travel buddy Luis the Swiss under the table on the local barley beer.....
